about

"Starchild" is the critically acclaimed album released by D.I.T.C. member O.C. in early 2005. First released in Japan, the album was an overseas success and eventually became a worldwide welcomed fourth full length from Mr. Credle. This album showcases O.C.'s introspective writing ability and his prowess of holding a full length down by himself, as the LP only features one guest appearance from fellow Organismz cohort, Pharaohe Monch. This was also his first album that stepped outside of the D.I.T.C. production team, with a newer, refined sound with a string of soulful boom-bap tracks. "Starchild" also features a lot of scratching and cuts in true hip hop fashion, performed by DJ Revolution and DJ Statik Selektah (who also produces the albums "Intro" and "Outro"). Remastered for digital release, this 'Deluxe Edition' features bonus track remixes produced by Pete Rock, !llmind and Count Bass-D.
